Mia PRM: AI-Powered Relationship Management

The Challenge
Professionals often lose track of important conversations and follow-ups, especially after events or during rapid growth phases. Existing tools like CRMs, LinkedIn, or contact apps are fragmented, overly complex, or lack meaningful context. Mia was created to address this gap.
We were challenged to build and launch Mia in time for Web Summit Portugal 2024 with a lean team. The product needed to deliver a cross-platform MVP with essential flows like contact capture, smart reminders, and card-sharing. Additionally, it had to perform well in environments with limited or unreliable internet access, such as crowded conferences.
Our Approach
We defined a new product category: the Personal Relations Manager (PRM). We began with user research focused on freelancers and insurance and real estate salespeople, identifying pain points in their networking and contact management habits.
The roadmap was structured into three development phases. The MVP included core features like contact capturing and sharing, interaction logging, and reminders. Ongoing iterations introduced enriched profiles, smart querying, and multi-language support. The short-term future vision is centered around AI features for automated email writing, CRM integration, and sales documents generation.
We built and led a cross-functional agile team, including AI engineers, developers, designers, and QA working in sprints with regular feedback, ASO, and A/B testing to optimize adoption.
The Outcome
Mia was validated by early adopters, particularly high-performing sales professionals who saw it as a streamlined alternative to executive assistants. The product gained traction with users underserved by traditional CRMs and entered multiple verticals via an ambassador program.
With ongoing development, Mia is evolving into a scalable AI-first platform for business relations management and sales enablement.
