Kanoony: Streamlining Legal Processes in the UAE



The Challenge
It costs freelancers and small businesses a lot of legal fees to draft their legal documents, and often, they rely on generic free online templates to cut costs. Kanoony was the best of both worlds: professional legal templates, localized for the UAE, at a fraction of the cost.
Kanoony development was already in progress when we joined the team, but the founder was facing difficulty launching the platform.
The product aimed to become the leading legal document platform in the UAE while managing a wide scope of services and user types.
Our Approach
Our task was to redefine and shape the features, help prioritize the MVP, and build a smooth path to launch with clear service logic and value.
The first thing we did was refine the vision and structure the first release.
Our work focused on defining the product’s core value, scoping its minimum viable version, and shaping a user journey that could scale over time.
We mapped core service offerings, including legal templates, contract editing, electronic signing, and corporate legal tasks, into clear requirements and product flows.
We supported Kanoony in organizing its growing content library, structuring its business model, and aligning legal requirements with user expectations.
Throughout, we kept the relationship focused on efficiency, clarity, and trust.
The Outcome
By the time our engagement ended, the platform was in beta version and ready to go live.
Kanoony became the number one legal template platform in the UAE.
Over 700 legal templates were added to the site, covering both Arabic and English legal needs.
The platform saw traction from startups, SMEs, and legal professionals, all using Kanoony to simplify and speed up their legal processes.
